Aarti Water Burial Biodegradable Urn

The Aarti Water Burial Urn is a bright pink bowl designed to float, shown filled with fresh flowers. It is inspired by the floating offerings of traditional water ceremonies.

Made from biodegradable paper materials, it breaks down naturally and leaves nothing harmful behind, a gentle way to return to nature.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size urn do I need?

A common guideline is one cubic inch of capacity for every pound of body weight before cremation, so a 220 cubic inch urn like the Aarti Water Burial Biodegradable Urn generally fits an adult who weighed up to about 220 pounds.

Are there rules for a water burial?

In the U.S., the EPA allows burial of cremated remains at sea at least three nautical miles from land, and the burial must be reported to the EPA within 30 days. Lakes, rivers and other inland waters may have state or local rules, so check before the ceremony.

How should I store a biodegradable urn?

Keep it in a cool, dry place away from water, humidity and direct sunlight until the ceremony, since moisture starts the natural breakdown process.

How quickly will my urn ship?

Orders placed by 1:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday, ship the same business day. Orders placed after the cutoff ship the next business day. Our team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
